RHODIUS Laage celebrates the anniversary of airbag component production

On September 16, 2022 Rhodius celebrated the 25th anniversary of the company location in Laage-Kronskamp. With the automotive products, Rhodius makes a significant contribution to the fact that the number of road deaths has been massively reduced in recent decades thanks to airbags.

Rhodius as an exhibitor at the trade fair "Airbag 2022" from November 28-30, 2022 at congress center in Mannheim, Germany.

June 2022 - Weissenburg

Recently, we celebrated our spring festival and venerated employees for many years of working at Rhodius, whereas we could not host a Christmas party during the pandemic. Beside the celebration with ten, 20, 25 or 30 years of work, two staffs even can celebrate 35 years of working at Rhodius.

Due to the Corona crisis, the demand for pipes and filters for airbags decreased. For this reason, the company Rhodius expanded their business domain industry filter and automotive.

April 2022 - Laage

As one of his first appointments, the Minister of Economic Affairs and vice-chancellor Habeck visited the new Rhodius factory for lightweight components. Together with the State Minister of Economy Meyer of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, they all got an idea of innovative industrial settlement.

December 2021 - Weißenburg

Cooperation is important to us and one of the pillars of success – which is also why we recently had three of our Hungarian colleagues working at the plant in Weißenburg.

September 2021 - Laage

The WTS hall is taking shape!

As things stand, the roof sealing work for the production hall has already been completed and the floor laid. That means for us: Moving into the hall is planned from December, starting with the transfer of the first welding systems.

August 2021 - Tapolca

In addition to our production facilities in Laage and Kunshan (China) we have been operating a facility in Tapolca, Hungary since 2006. This is where over 200 employees have been manufacturing e.g. airbag filter parts and belt tensioners. Our branch manager Zoltán Angyán is proud of what Rhodius Magyarország Kft has achieved.

June 2021 - Laage

We held our topping out ceremony for the new production site with Apex Energy Tetrow and the F.C. Hansa Rostock.

On June 17th, we at Rhodius headquarters were busy administering COVID vaccinations. 32 Rhodius employees received the Biontech/Pfizer vaccine on Thursday night.

Since March 1st, 2021, Uwe Schütz has been the global Sales Director for the Rhodius automotive division in Weissenburg.

March 2021 - Laage

The state’s first CO2-neutral industrial park is built in Laage, Rostock where parts for the automotive industry and other products are to be produced with hydrogen from renewable energies.

January 2021 – Kunshan


We are very pleased that Rhodius Kunshan has now been successfully certified according to ITAF.

This is demonstrated once again by the body that Rhodius is one of the world's top manufacturers of components and modules for the automotive industry.

August 2020 – Weißenburg

On August 1, 2020, Dr. Knut Kille succeeds Dr. Robert Kopetzky, who is saying goodbye to the company after 12 successful years as managing partner. Dr. Kopetzky remains with the company as a partner and provides advice.
