The knitted mesh’s function as slosh baffle is based on its confusing structure. Its effect depends on:

  • Flow resistance

  • Separation of large fluid flows


Tank volume loss due to knitted-mesh component: Typically between 3 and 5% of the knitted mesh’s bounding volume.
Weight of the knitted-mesh component for usually 25 g per 1 dm³ of knitted mesh.
