In many European countries, seats in public transport are made of hard plastic because of the risk of damage from knives or other sharp objects. In order not to have to do without the comfort of fabric seats, a special wire mesh is used under the fabric covers. Our Rhodius knitted fabrics for vandalism protection consist of wires with a larger diameter of 0.7 mm to 0.9 mm. Nevertheless, the knitted fabric is flexible and offers a high level of seating comfort.
