Knitted wire mesh has proven itself in a wide variety of applications. For over 100 years, Rhodius has stood for innovation and application-oriented product development. Together with our partners and customers, we develop solutions ranging from individual components to large-scale production.
Our knitted meshes are highly versatile. For example, they are used in Environmental and Process Engineering, as vandalism protection in public transportation seat covers as well as in the automotive industry.
We produce and develop customized solutions for both single-part and series production – tailored precisely to the needs and specifications of our customers. Thanks to their three-dimensional structure, our knitted meshes offer high elasticity and durability, depending on the intended use.

Our knitted mesh is custom-produced on circular knitting machines as an "endless" tube. Depending on the required specifications, important parameters such as mesh width, loop size, or crimping can be freely selected to meet your needs perfectly.
We use machines developed in our in-house mechanical engineering department, ensuring that our equipment is always well-maintained, highly flexible, and extremely efficient.
We manufacture knitted meshes from the following materials:
In addition to wire diameter, we adapt the material, crimping, and dimensions to your exact requirements:
The tubular mesh can be supplied to customers as roll stock or further processed by us. By folding or layering, the mesh is formed into various shapes and turned into knitted mesh elements.
Another option is to compress the mesh into pressed parts. When combined with other materials, this allows us to create ready-to-install components – manufactured with the highest precision and designed for easy handling by the customer.
To achieve optimal product performance, we can also knit multiple materials together into combination meshes. Production is precisely tailored to the intended application to ensure maximum functionality and effectiveness.
Whether you need vibration isolation, temperature resistance, filtration applications, or complex geometries – our technical knitted meshes are tailored exactly to your application. Talk to our experts – directly, solution-focused, and backed by 100 years of wire expertise.
What makes our knitted mesh special is its three-dimensional structure, which ensures high elasticity and load-bearing capacity. This makes our meshes extremely versatile — for example, in filtration technology, as damping elements, or for thermal insulation.
You can purchase our knitted mesh directly as endless tubular material on rolls. Alternatively, we can cut and further process it for you into finished mesh elements or complete, ready-to-install assemblies.
We process wires with diameters ranging from 0.03 mm to 1.5 mm.
Our knitted meshes are available in widths from 4 mm to 2,800 mm.
Standard mesh sizes range between 2.4 mm and 10 mm.
Additionally, we can process round or flat wire, using single or multiple strands.
Customization is achieved by precisely matching the material, wire diameter, mesh size, and crimping to your specific requirements.
To achieve optimal product properties, we can also process multiple materials simultaneously to create what we call “co-knit” (“combination meshes”), if needed.
We manufacture our knitted meshes from a wide range of materials.
These include all common stainless steels, special alloys such as Monel or Inconel, various plastics like PP and PTFE, as well as fiber materials such as glass fiber or carbon fiber.
